The heartbeat of Victory:
• To love Jesus Christ and to love others as He loves them.
• To make and to mature disciples.
• To passionately communicate God’s Word to purposefully change lives.
Our purpose is to
love (Mark 12:30),
honor (1 Timothy 1:17),
worship (Psalm 95:6),
and serve God (1 Thessalonians 1:9),
together (1 Corinthians 12:27).
Victory might be a good fit for you if…
• you are seeking to know the truth about life, death and eternity.
• you are interested in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
• you want to grow personally and spiritually.
• you want to be part of a team that laughs, loves and serves together.
VALUES OF VICTORY
WORSHIP
• We worship God in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:23,24).
• We are growing in our knowledge of God as we practice the spiritual
discipline of studying and learning His Word.
• We are becoming more aware of His presence as we walk with
His Spirit.
• We are seeking His glory in our prayers and in our lives.
• We are living with character and integrity as the truth of God
permeates our thoughts and plans.
LOVE
• Jesus said the highest good that we can achieve is to Love the
Lord God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength
(The Great Commandment—Mark 12:28-31).
• The second greatest commandment is similar—be as loving
and forgiving to others as we are to ourselves, because God
loves them too.
• God so loved that He gave (John 3:16); so too, we want to be
characterized by a generosity that comes from the fullness of
our hearts, not the fullness of our wallets (2 Corinthians 8:1-5).
• We happily give our time, our energy, our money, and our lives
to minister to others.
GROWTH
• “Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).
• We want to experience personal and spiritual growth.
• Our members are ministers and missionaries for the Lord—helping
people accept and follow Jesus Christ (The Great Commission—
Matthew 28:18-20).
• Growth requires change and spiritual growth requires
transformation—the process of becoming less self-centered and
more like Jesus Christ.
JOY
• Jesus makes it possible for us to have abundant life and joy in
Him (John 10:10 & 1 John 1:4).
• A genuinely Christian life does involve sacrifice, but it can also
be fun and rewarding.
• You won’t spend very long with us before you realize that our joy
often spills over into laughter.
• Our joy is a reflection of our eternal hope in Christ, of our appreciation
for His daily blessings (Psalm 68:19), and of our awareness of His
presence as He comforts, encourages and guides us.
